Running the race of the Christian life requires intentionality and effort on your part. But, you are not alone, Isaiah 41:13 says
“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.”
Not only has God promised to help you, He is with you through all that you go through. The Holy Spirit dwells in you and according to Scripture He is “The Helper!” John 14:26 says,
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send I My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
God is with you and He is for you in your pursuit of living for Him. Hold on to the truth from the sermon this past Sunday from Hebrews 12:1-2:
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Three tips for running well:
Lighten your load by trusting Jesus with your past, present, and future.
Pace yourself, this race lasts the rest of your life
Look to Jesus, He is the author and perfecter of your faith.
