"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations"
Matthew 28:19
Harrisburg Baptist Church is a missions-minded faith family, committed to multiplying disciples in joyful obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). To that end, we seek to train, equip, and send disciples into the world in order to reach the lost.
The world begins right here in Tupelo, Mississippi, and extends to the far ends of the earth. Our mission is to glorify God, our mandate is to share the Gospel, and our motivation is to see every tribe and tongue, people and nation, worship the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity.

LOCAL MISSION PARTNERS
Brian Tillman,

Lee County Baptist Association exists to help churches make disciples of Christ. We help churches develop mission strategies for mobilizing mission volunteers, community evangelism and outreach events and ministries, leadership and development, nurturing church health and new church strategies.
The 242 Network is named for the passage from Acts 2:42-47. This passage follows Peter’s sermon at Pentecost when 3,000 people were baptized and describes the beginning of the multiplication of the early church across the known world. The Multiply Group is a provider of church planting assessments, training, and coaching systems used across North America.

Andrea powell,
parkgate health services
“But what can I say or do?” How many times have you been presented with the opportunity to serve someone in crisis, but asked yourself this question? We often find ourselves moved with compassion to help those who are hurting but are paralyzed to act by the unknowns and what ifs. If this is you, please join us as we discuss how you can connect with Parkgate and be trained to mentor or counsel individuals in crisis.
Grant Smallwood,

REGIONAL MISSIONS PARTNERS
James Cheatham, Grace Point Church, Greenwood, MS
Greenwood and the surrounding area of the Delta in many ways feel forgotten by the progressing world around us. While many would claim a deep tradition of Christian heritage, this area is greatly divided when it comes to personal economics, social standing, and ethnicity. The salvation power of Jesus Christ knows no such boundaries. Grace Point Church welcomes all people no matter how they dress, how much money they have, and no matter the color of their skin. An estimated 80% of the people here are either lost or do not have an active growing relationship with Jesus. The harvest could be plentiful, but the laborers seem to be few. We want to make disciples of Jesus Christ of anyone and everyone that wants to trust and follow Him.
Joseph Parker,
Mobile Pregnancy Unit
The Pregnancy Care and Hope Center Ministry is a ministry whose mission is to faithfully share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. And we seek to help women and walk with them through a season in which she is expecting a child at a difficult time in her life.
Our goal is to love the mother and her family and walk with them through this season of their lives, always seeking to encourage Moms to either keep her baby or prayerfully consider adoption as beautiful option.

t mac Howard,
Delta Streets Academy
Delta Streets Academy was founded in 2012 from an after-school and summer program. We opened our doors with 14 students in the 7th and 8th grade, and this fall we enrolled over 100 students from 6th-12th grade! Since 2012, 42 young men have graduated from DSA, going on to receive two-year and four-year degrees or entering the workforce in transportation, construction, manufacturing, and the military. Our ultimate goal is to equip the young men who walk through our doors with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the skills needed to live a life that honors God.

Looking for financial assistance
for a mission trip?
Financing mission endeavors has many levels. Personal money, help from family and friends, and good budgeting all play a role in getting to the mission field. While we desire for great numbers of participants in our mission endeavors, we also do not want any member to have a financial burden from going to the field. It is a sign of good stewardship to realize that indeed, lack of funding is a valid reason to play a role in missions from home and aim for the next trip. With that understood, our church family wants to do our best to aid all members in using their giftedness in making disciples, so there is financial aid available.
Funding will be given as a designated set amount from the yearly missions budget. Our desire is for all of Harrisburg to be about discipleship be it locally, regionally, or internationally. We want to be good stewards of how God has blessed our church family. We know that His heart is for us to go and our church family will do our best to see the gospel leave our church and go into all places.
Church contributions:
Beyond the funding help from our church family, there are other avenues that we will make available to participants.
This money is based on the number of people in our group and the money available from the offering as other churches apply and head to the mission field. This discount is offered for only one trip per year, so plan accordingly.
