Welcome to harrisburg!

We are so glad that you are considering visiting Harrisburg Baptist Church, and we want you to truly enjoy your time with us.

There are many opportunities for you to be involved in what God is doing in our church. We are a variety of people with different backgrounds, and we gather together from all across our region. Though we are all unique in many ways, we have one thing in common - each one of us needs Jesus. Harrisburg is a church made up of people whose lives have been radically changed by faith in Jesus Christ. We aren’t perfect, but we are striving to live for the Lord by making a difference in our community and around the world. There is a place for you, your family, and your friends at Harrisburg. We hope you will join us for worship this Sunday morning at 8:30 or 11:00 am.

coming & going

Our address is 4675 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801. If you are a guest, then we invite you to use our convenient Guest Parking right in front of the church building. Our main entrance is located beneath the covered walkway and adjacent to the circular driveway. Our back entrance is most convenient for those with small children.

When you enter the building, you'll be greeted by a member of our Greeting Team, who will also be more than happy to help you find exactly where you need to go! If you need help getting your kids checked into Sunday School or the nursery, our volunteers and staff are always nearby to walk you step by step through a very simple and secure process.

Prior to entering the Sanctuary for one of our Worship Services, you'll be handed a bulletin by one of our ushers. We publish our bulletins weekly, so it's a great way to stay informed and connected.

As you leave, we hope you'll stop by one of our Red Bag Tables (located near both our entrances) for a free gift from us. Most importantly, we hope you leave with a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for who God is and what he has done for us!

sundays

Our weekly Sunday morning worship services are the most important time for us to gather as brothers and sisters in Christ. Each week, whether young or old, rich or poor, married or single, we unite together under God’s Word, collectively seeking to give God glory and grow in our faith. If you have never been to one of our services, then we invite you to join us at 8:30 am or 11:00 am! Here’s what you can expect when you come:

  • Preaching through books of the Bible
  • Gospel-centered songs, both old and new
  • Scripture readings
  • Times of prayer and reflection
  • Celebration of Baptism and the Lord's Supper
  • Childcare and Bible Study for children
  • No dress code
  • Welcoming environment
  • Ample time for fellowship before and after the services

We also have a special opportunity for our kids during each service. All of our 4 year olds through 5th graders are invited to attend Treehouse when they are dismissed prior to the sermon each Sunday. In Treehouse our kids are engaged with an age-appropriate Bible study and activities to supplement those timeless gospel truths!

If you have an infant or if you choose to keep your children with you as you worship, please know that we see children as a gift from the Lord! They are more than welcome with all their joyful noises. We also have a nursing room available in the Preschool area.

Wednesdays

Our building is alive with activity on Wednesdays, as we have discipleship opportunities for all ages. In addition to our Wednesday Morning Bible Study, our Wednesday evenings are designed to help us grow deeper in our faith and in community with one another. While there is no replacement for Sundays, we think a mid-week opportunity to gather as a faith family is important for our life together.
